Hello,

We would love to see a lazarus version of EhLib (for win32/win64 editions at least).
Is there something like this on the way? (or is it impossible to support?)

Regards,
Marius

Hello Marius

The lazarus version of EhLib is on the stage of the study now.
So we can't say whether we will release this version of the library.

Best regards

I agree with Marius - it would be very good to see lazarus support in EhLib. It does not mean so much, certainly, but i'm ready to buy Lazarus version of EhLib at the moment.

Hello,

Its been a while and i'm getting more and more interested in building multiplatform stuff with fpc/laz (specially since XE3 and XE4 dont seem to be a short term workable solution). Is there any news of putting a fpc/lazarus on the roadmap of ehlib?

Regards
Marius

A year has passed, that should be enough time to determine a yes or a no, any news on this?

Supporting lazarus usually means support of several platforms. This is one of the key features of lazarus.
Exploring this platform we came to the conclusion that it would be much easier to convert components under win32/win64 editions then under several platforms.
But why this should have been done if Delphi already exists?

Also judging by the interface of the standard TDBGrid, the possibility of writing a quality interface in lazarus are very limited.
See a screenshot.

Hello,

Thanks for the honest answer, but it is kind of a disapointment though (and it took you long enough also). It now seems we need to find a TDBGridEh replacement, we rather would have paid a decent price for EhGrid.

M.
